Near Zaslavly, 20km NW of Minsk: [Best played against Human opponent] In an attempt to flank the German defenders at Minsk, Soviet General Chernyakovskiy ordered elements of the 29th Tank and the 3rd Guards Mechanized Corps through a wooded area located to the north of the besieged city. For the Germans it was imperative to protect the railroad line leaving Minsk. Without it, many of the defending troops would remain trapped within the confines of the city. Forever! The 31st Panzer Regiment and the 1st Battalion, 14th Panzer Grenadier from the weakened 5th Panzer Division were reinforced with Tiger tanks of the 505th Heavy Panzer Battalion, and sent north into the woods to plug the gap. As the battle commenced, tanks with infantry support from both sides hunted one another among the trees. The German tank skills once again became evident as dozens of Russian tanks and self-propelled guns fell victim to their accurate gunfire. But it was not enough to affect the overall outcome of the battle for Minsk.

Very interesting scenario. I won through a battle of attrition - Wolfman had actually captured many of the objectives (800 points from them), yet the score ended at -178, with of my units intact. Ssome of my infantry took a beating, and I also lost a platoon of stummel HT's, 3 platoons of armored cars, a platoon of panthers, a platoon of PzIV's, and a few assorted Tigers. I basically just picked hard-to-reach areas in woods and such that were hard to reach, and let him come to me. The Russians get a huge amount of material to work with though - pretty scary.
Fierce
The Germans have the advantage of getting into a good defensive position first before the Russians can attack.
Fubar1
Terrific sceanrio, tons of options.
Jim von Krieg
Germans have advantage early, if they hesitate the Russians will probably overwhelm them later in the game with overwhelming and focused attacks.
Death~Dealer
The game is slightly pro-allies due to 1) lack of German infantry on a heavily wooded map and 2) The German Panzers are unable to use the range advantage on an LOS-limited map. The map is ideal for the large amounts of Soviet armor and infantry to ambush, assault and cause close range damage.
Otto von Blotto
Opponent attacked hard in the south early in the scn and very nearly broke though
Otto von Blotto
Only the allies greater numbers won the day especially in infantry
Deutscher Landser
Some errors on the map, allied side has smoke but only non smoke shootable arty
Jim von Krieg
Russian gained early advantage through maneuver, but bled out as their rounds bounced off the tough German armor.

Very fun scenario, lots of room to move. Slammed into and through the lines to wreak havok in the rear with a company of tanks. Took some rear/Southern objectives, but by games end a few had been retaken by the Germans. Well played by Tom.

Good balance of superior German armor to Soviet numbers
