Pabianice, 15km SW of Lodz: [Best played against Human opponent or as Allied] It had been less than a week since the invaders of Germany's Army Group South had violated the Polish border yet already they were closing in on Lodz. Both the Germans and the Poles knew Lodz was the last stop before Warsaw! Along the highway leading into Lodz from the southwest lay the town of Pabianice. The II. Battalion of the 1st SS Regiment "Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler" was ordered to cut off Pabianice from the south, denying that route to Polish units streaming northward toward Warsaw. Meanwhile, the I. Battalion of the "LAH" was ordered to isolate Pabianice from the north. The III. Battalion remained in reserve along the Pabianice-Lask highway supporting the artillery. For the Germans the end was in sight. However, the Polish units in the area were ready to surrender neither themselves - nor these vital roads - to Hitler's rampaging legions.

Setup grants for both players a fine mixture of attacking and defending. Carefull planning needed. Draw is most likeley.

It was DIFFERENT for sure I liked it but axis was too superior

Interesting scenario utilizing early war equipment from the beginning of the conflict. Polish troops have some unusual gear and are tougher than they look!
Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy.

The Polish troops are surprisingly fun to play - the Poles even get tanks and armored cars. Their infantry can occasionally inflict casualties at two hexes distance. Tougher than Russian troops! They also get good artillery. The Germans put up a bloody tough fight though.

Still one of my favorites. Poles must mass, close the distance and use their superior numbers to overwhelm the Germans.
