Belorussia, Russia: [Best Played Versus Human Opponent] [H2H] [FIC] [GD] In the days immediately following the launch of Operation Bagration against Army Group Centre, many German Army formations found themselves cut off and being called upon to defend impossible frontages with inadequate forces. On the afternoon of June 25, 1944, retreating elements of the German 260th Infantry Division near Orsha, were ordered to halt and dig in, with the promise of motorized reinforcements. Hasty defenses were thrown up over night. Shortly after dawn on June 26, the ominous sound of tank treads and the sight of enormous dust clouds in the east, signaled the arrival of advance elements of the Russian 5th Guards Tank Army, 3rd Belorussian Front. It would be a day that both Soviet and German soldiers would not soon forget. [All: Optional EA: No VV]

Well balanced scenario. Several options for both sides.

Bedlam in Belorussia is not your typical EF scenario! Russian enjoys lots of armor and infantry. But, an aggressive German defense that looks for openings and opportunities to strike back will be rewarded! A quick moving and exciting scenario for both sides!

Axis defense pockets are spread out and separated from each other, making it difficult to choose what to defend and what to let go.
Resolve then, that on this very ground, with small flags waving and tinny blast on tiny trumpets, we shall meet the enemy, and not only may he be ours, he may be us. --Walt Kelly

Germans can surrender all objectives and still win if they have favorable loss ratio (even by 1VP). Once they are in the thick woods, Russian t-34 advantage is negated as in close combat German infantry has good AT punch and also Russian infantry is no match. Try and find those Krauts in the woods without getting a bloody nose. Not easy one for Russians against a skilled defender.
