Fuentes de Onoro 5 May 1811 - Having failed to take Fuentes by direct assault on 3rd May, Massena spent the following day scouting the British line and endeavouring to find a weak spot. Then, determining that the British right flank south of Fuentes could be turned, Massena decided that the main French thrust should be launched against Poco Velho and Nava de Aver, whilst additional diversionary attacks along the line would hold the enemy in place.

British firepower may be a bit too powerful

The allies suffer from a brigade permanently fixed, and the French have rather a lot of cavalry including Guard. The allies have to try and hold on, the French have to try and destroy them. One objective is easily taken as it's guarded by E grade cossacks. Another high point one is also easily taken in Fuentes.

The French and allies are split into 4 different groups so the game really is about river crossings in different places. Except in the south where the French have a big advantage against militia.

This is a tough one for the Brits-they are outnumbered and have far less artillery and cavalry and are vulnerable everywhere...But those British lines sure can shoot straight!
