Marshes of St Gond area, France, 6th September 1914: In the critical center of the French lines which stretched from Paris to Verdun stood Foch, the hero of Nancy, commander of the newly formed IXe Armée. Joffre ordered Foch to assist d'Esperey's Ve Armée to his left in the counter offensive aimed at crushing the German right flank. In order to support the Ve Armée, Foch gave offensive orders to his divisions located around the marshes of St Gond. As the French moved north across the marshes, they immediately ran head long into advancing German troops. A furious battle erupted as the Germans strove to push south and break through the allied line, and as Foch would struggle to stand firm in support his neighbor. Hard to win as the Germans, but not impossible. I came very close to a draw but was outplayed.

Tough one for the Germans to win but my opponent really enjoyed it.
