Good scenario - tough fight through the woods. I would have appreciated larger deployment zones for the Germans - particularly facing the Allied early artillery. Use of artillery seems quite key for victory on either side.

A very tough scenario for the Allies.
Certain tweaks to the Axis forces need to be made to achieve balance, but the map is excellent, and the tactics very different from most battles I have fought.
Deft use of artillery is essential, the ground conditions pose interesting dilemmas regarding risk and reward.
If certain changes were made, this could be a classic.

Scenario has a great map and fantastic historical context. The deployment areas and freedom of set up for players needs work, along with the balancing the arrival of a Panther at the end of the scenario totally swings the balance back to the axis side. The Axis sides needs more direct heavy weaponry but the panther is a bit much. Just shredded the shermans in a confined lane way.

Allies have no trp’s for assault on heavy woods & fixed positions. But otherwise good challenging fight for the allies in hostile terrain.

The Germans have a chance with the late arriving Panther. Otherwise, it is a tough slog for the defender.

Playing Axis, you should be creative about dealing with the setup zones, most of which are quite restrictive, so you can set up the defense you want. Also, no TRPs, so be wise with your FO.
