December 1944. The Battle of the Bulge opened for the 110th Infantry Regiment with a desperate defence of the village of Marnach. Either side vs AI or H2H.

A good idea and map but several deficiencies in the scenario design really take away from it. Here are three specific issues with recommended fixes to improve balance and playability for H2H:

1) Balance of Forces - Germans have 20 panzers, 3 companies of infantry, 1 company of pioneers and lots of 81mm mortar PLUS INTEL vs a US company with 9 x 57mm ATGs and 1 x pioneer platoon. US receive 8 x M-10 TDs after 50 minutes but this is far too late to really impact the battle.
Recommend drop 3 x ATGs but add another US infantry company and have arrival of M-10s timed for 15 and 30 minutes. As US has mines, the German pioneers should start the game with pioneers vice as reinforcements.

2) Terrain & Deployment - The ground is listed as "muddy" and US reinforcements arrive in an exit zone (causing their immediate loss) or behind two muddy ditches and end up immobilized (another 4 vehicles suffered this fate). The majority of US VPs are for holding ground but they can only start the game deployed in the center.

To fix, change the ground to "damp" and have US reinforcements arrive outside the exit zone and on the paved road in the rear. For the start, the US should be able to deploy across the entire centre area where the VP terrain is located.

3) Victory Points (VPs) - Each side gets ~ 1200 VPs for terrain, which is fine. However, the Germans get 100 points for destroying 10 x trucks while US gets 200 points for 20 x panzers - i.e. a truck is worth as much as a panzer!! There are zero VPs for infantry casualties.
Recommend eliminate truck & panzer specific VPs and have both sides receive 800 VPs for destroying enemy troops.
