It is a fun concept, and I like the forces. However, as a H2H game I think it is too weighted against the axis.

The research into order of battle and map seems accurate enough. The map is huge, the Germans start out by crossing grain fields under fire, and have eight different major objectives to try and achieve. German forces are a reinforced battalion (!) and game length is 2 solid hours (120 turns). Even if you managed to return 4 turns a day (a huge undertaking with an entire battalion to manage), every day, it would take an entire month to get through this. Terrain is unremarkable Normandy farm fields and villages. Play if you like monsters.

There are a couple of inaccuracies in the briefings. The German briefing lists the Left Flank objective as worth 100 pts. It's worth 150 pts. Both briefings incorrectly state that tanks can only cross the railroad cut at the bridges. They can actually cross at many other points.

The forces start the battle in LOS and within shooting distance of each other. Also, the Canadian fortunes are heavily dependent on one man. If he is killed early in the battle, as he was in the game I played, the Canadians will likely get steamrolled.

Not sure what to make of this one as my opponent surrendered with over an hour remaining on the clock. I think there were more reinfs to come, possibly for both sides, if not the scen designer missed a trick. Good map and enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this scenario, it was by far the biggest game I have played to this point. Great combined arms fight, plenty of artillery to go around.

The scenario is big and long, so know what you are in for. I thought the map was well done for it's size. Many different objectives, rolling terrain makes for interesting LOS. Some of the attackers setup is in LOS of defending forces, which I don't like, but the setup zone was large enough with enough places out of sight to not make it that much of a negative.

I played as Axis and scored a total victory, but took some punishment in the process. The Canadian force was very hard for me to break initially but once my troops gained a toehold on the railroad crossings the Canadian defense never recovered.

Fun scenario, I would recommend it and would enjoy playing from the other side someday when I have a faster computer!
Sometimes I'm around a lot and can get many turns done, other times I can't.

huge scenario, very well balanced, best played H2H . It is a long scenario so my advice for the germantake your time
