In the Shadow of the Hill is a series of missions, covering the actions in the area Fontaine Etoupefour-Maltot on the 10th July 1944 - being part of the larger operation known to the British as Operation Jupitor whose main objective was the capture of Hill 112. The master map for these scenarios is 1.6k wide by 4k deep, and all actions take place on smaller sections of this map. This is the second mission in the series and this scenario represents the continuation of the attack by 5 Dorsets following on from their succesful capture of the farm complex at les Duanes. Their objective for this mission is the capture of the larger farm complex and chateau ruins of Chateau de Fontaine Each mission is seperate from the others in the series, so casualties, armour losses etc do not carry over to subsequent missions. Rather the forces provided at the start of each mission are as close as match to the historical forces encountered as game play will allow.
