Le Beny-Bocage, South of Caumont: August 1st, 1944. (Scenario Size: Brigade. Head to Head or British Human vs AI) By August 1st, the British had moved the tanks of 29th Armoured Brigade across Dickie's bridge. The bridge had been captured the previous day in a coup-de-main by Lieutenant Derek 'Dickie' Powle's armoured car troop. The 29th Armoured Brigade planned to push forward to take le Beny-Bocage. Once clear they were expected to take the high ground around Point 266 and assist the Guards Armour who was expected to take the village of Catheolles. After clearing substantial resistance around le Beny-Bocage the brigade ended up cutting the Caen to Vire road and then taking the village of Catheolles. The Guards Armoured Division where expected to take it from the north, not the 29th Armoured Brigade from the south!

It is a "Allies all the way" scenario.

All the Germans can do is hold until the last man.

I voted as pro Axis based on it's a short scenario and the Allied's need to move FAST and do everything right, but still
might not win.

Not sure what the Axis player can do except sit and wait.

This scenario was apparently designed to play against the AI although it is not labelled as such. The Germans are spread out and fixed. They only release when they spot an Allied unit. Consequently, there is no opportunity to form any kind of reasonable defense. All the German player can do is watch is units get destroyed by the Allied onslaught. As the Allies, it is probably more fun/interesting. There is the challenge of allocating your force so as to seize all of the objectives and then watching your plan come to fruition. So it might make a decent AI game, but as a PBEM, it sucks.
