1. A whole new value system with the defense modifier being moved from 16 to 20 and the start point moving from 24HA/24DEF to 30/30. What this does is open things up to show a bigger difference between unit types and models. Have also gone threw and changed values depending on the type of equipment they had, for example:the CAN M-113 units HA value is low, this is because they had no ATGMs, they used Carl G and to show this weapon their Assault value is 3 points higher than a comparable M-113 unit but its HA is 6-12 points lower depending on how many ATGMs the other M-113 units were equip with.
2. British army got yet another overhaul. A decent size overhaul one lots of changes
3. The addition of almost every tank model.
4. US 82ND AB,US ARMORED CAV REGS,BRITISH PARA,,SPANISH PARA ALL LOSE ONE MORALE RATING FROM A TO B.
5. The AT company in the Italian Cremona Bde wasnt VTC I-Tows but AR-76 jeeps with Tow mounts, changed and added graphic
6. French 1er RIMa didnt convert to AMX-10RC intill 1990, changed them to ERC-90s.
7. French 13ème RDP was an LRRP unit and since no LRRP units are represented they have been removed
8. The British Bns equiped with warrior IFV had their 3rd company equiped with Fv432, all 5 companys have been changed to FV432s. Warrior equip numbers are now below historic numbers.
9. The Belgian 12th and 10th Bde AT company was equip with Jeep mounted Milans not M-113, changed and added graphic
10. All 6 Belgian Bdes AT companys also had 12 Kanones attached, added them and graphic
11. Relisted AMX-10RC,AML-90 and ERC-90 as Recon units instead of Anti-tank units
12. Some adjustments to replacements in the oob on the new tank variants
13. The Belgian Commando AT company was equip with Milans not Tows, changed
14. French Armored Car Rgt/ 27th Alpine,11th Para,9th Marine- there was 4 different oobs that had different listings for Jeep Milans,(0-12-24-36) ive come to the conclusion that there was 24 jeep Milans. These were in the 3rd Sq well the 1st,2nd and 4th were 12 AMX10RCs or ERC-90s.
15. Doesnt have any effect on the game but the Fallschirmjager units were equip with KraKas intill 1990 and then Wiesels, have changed the name in the oob
16, 6th PzGren Div-PzGrenBrig 16-PanzerBtl 164/Had a 4th company of tanks,(reserve formation) added them
17. The 4th PzGren Bde was change to Heeresstruktur 5 organization in OCT 88 as a trial unit for the new army structure that happened in 1992, i dont believe it was fully changed so ive left the M-113 companys in the
Bde and left the new PzBn at a Morale D to show its cadre and or new formation status. Its a 2 PzBn and 2 PzGren structure with a few more recon vehicles and a couple less Jaguars
18. Pushed back some release times on some Nato units.
19. Belgian Commandos got a slight organization adjustment, less men per company but 4 extra AT Jeeps and company ids, the 2nd Bn wasnt reserve either so moved thier jump time up to that of the 1st and 3rd.
20. A moderate Canadian Army overhaul on organization, some info suggests theirs 4 companys in some of the Grizzly Bns or some of them have a 4th company mounted in M-113s, theirs equipment for it but i cant confirm or deny this info and have decided to leave the Bns at 3 companys b/c i know it had at least that. A side note, anyone in the
future who would like to make a scenario with the Canadians and theres at least a 20 day build up before war breaks out, well email me and ill send u the Canadian Army OOB for that b/c its completely different than whats in my OOB. The 5th and 4th exchange units and u add a US Bde and some US corps assets end up being the Canadians divisional assets and then the 1st Cdn Bde provides replacements.
21. An East German OOB change to Tanks and more Rockets,Arty, but less helo troops at Army level but more in the 40 "Willi Sänger". Added about 108 Art pieces and 144 Rm-70s, 18 SA-4s, another BN in the 40 "Willi Sänger", cadre only, have to be called up, its the 41st. Also created a Special Grouping Berlin and placed all but the 1stMot (still up to player)
in it thats attacking Berlin. Its under the command of GSFG,it includes a new ART rgt and ENG rgt plus a Rocket BN that was overlooked before.
22. Slight adjustment of the Czech oob. Mostly 130mm instead of 152mm at Army level and a SA-4 Bde added. The 10th ENG bde wasnt an eng bde but a bridge eng bde and also added the 71st para Bn. The 22nd AB BDE has been reorganized also, it wasnt a mass airdrop unit as suspected,it had 3 Bns and the 3rd Bn had 2 companys that would be the ones assigned to army level for deep recon in time of war, the 2nd was a cadre/training unit of 3 companys and the 1st Bn had 3 regular companies that specialized in recon. This also means the strategy option for the Czech airdrop has been eliminated but an alternate if not smaller one has been put in for the 71st and some of the 22nd units.Also the Czechs used the M-53 100mm AT gun not the T-12 model so values have been lowered for this weapon
23. Added a couple more options for the deployment of the Soviet 34th Art division.
24. While i was surfing some native Russians sites i came upon a good TO&E of a Soviet AB Bde, changes have been made, an addition of a 4th company mounted in BMDs, and added an ENG Co mounted in trucks, manpower was less in the BMD Co. Also found that in the Soviet Airborne Div the ENGs were in BTR-Ds, have changed and added graphic.
25. Soviet divisional recon Bns in CGF have changed layout. 3 t-72s,1brm,6 bmps X2 plus 1 12 brdm depth recon unit
26. Theres the Rgt level Sams now (sa-9,sa13) Listed as a seperate Battalion
27. Changed the Czech M-53/59 AAA vehicle to armored car from motorized
28. NATO SAM Belt Hawks changed to the full Bn of 24 instead of 12.
29. My intial info told me that the Czech ARM divs were CAT A and everything else B, well ive come across info on some Czech sites that said all of 1st Army was A and the 9th TD in 4th Army, the other divs in the 4th are a B and the eastern front divisions somewhere between a B-c. The 5 reserve divisions are at least a C if not a D so there still out of the game, consider them off map rear area units. I have added the Eastern front units to the game (13,14 TD) and have adjusted the CGF front accordingly. Most of the Czech 1st Army was closer to the border than the Soviet divisions so u will c more Czech Divisions at the start and a couple less Soviet Divisions and the rest of the Soviet and 1 Czech Div will show up as reinforcements within 36 hours. As for the B units it will be longer and even longer for the East Front Divisions.
30. Some adjustments to French AD units at army level.
31. The release of Rear Area Security Units,in some games the SF teams were running around the rear area blowing bridges (this is a good thing) while a security unit was just a couple hexes away doin nothing (not so good). Pact units release early in the game and Nato units release in stages at later dates, this helps prevent the Nato player from using them as speed bumps during the initial assault.
32. The 9 Soviet Army Level Spetsnaz units have switched to the recon type,(thats the bad news) good news is the 2 East German, 2 Czech and 3 Polish army level recon type have been added. Added graphics. Spetsnaz type units determined to act behind enemy lines.Each Warsaw Pact tank and motor rifle army (also Polish and Czechoslovakian) had such a company. According to WP doctrine they were supposed to act over 40 km behind front line (depth less than 40 km was reserved for divisional recon units). Main tasks included secret recon, sabotage and attacking NATO HQs and Lance units.
33. If it didnt already all Spetsnaz,SF,Ranger/Commando type units have been flagged with thermal, this shows these units were better trained in night ops.
34. The Soviet 3rd Shock and 20th army still had ENG BDE attached to it and had not been reduced to Bns till 1990 so ive changed them both to BDEs. Also adde 2 more Bdes as reinforcements into NGF and GSFG, the 119th and 114th. And also 4 Eng Reg as reinforements
35. Added Polish Front level troops into NGF, these include an ART Bde,AT Rgt,ENG Bde,AA Rgt and 1st Szturmowy.Also added the 3 army level deep recon units (Kompania Specjalna)

38. Reorganization of East German Army level units,u will notice all those army level DDR regiments in peacetime turn to Bdewith reserve units (ART,SF,AT,ENG,ROC) so u will find the active units with a higher morale than the reserve units and the reserves of course show up at a later date
39. Changed all SF type units to Partisan, the patrol feature now works.
40. All WP unit names reformatted in the oob example: 15.MSK/PanzerRgt 15 (egerman)
41. Added the Mi-2URP/URN attack helo to the Polish army.4 squadrons of 16 AC. Yes its true an Mi-2 armed with 4 AT missiles.
42. Hungarian Army reorganized completely from top to bottom
43. Removed RakArtBtl 650 (Jutland) from the game, it was equip with Lance not LARS.
44. Changed the ZOC multiplier to 25,what this basically means is a unit can always move at least 1 hex even if isolated. this stops the situation were a couple of armoured car or flak units could isolate and pin in place entire armoured battalions,thanks to Capt Cav it was his idea
45. A bunch of new graphics, and some old ones cleaned up, plus some just resized.
46. The 1er RI in the 4ème Div Aéromobile has changed structure, 3 inf com and 2 eng com.
47. Some new drop zones for British AT Paras
48. Change the rest of the 5th Brit Para to deploy to Jutland in a strategy.
49. Removed the Brit 1st Bde from AMF and put directly under Landjut Command, also push back its reinforcement time.
50. All the Brit Eng Rgt had 4 com, 3 combat + 1 support, added the additional company to 4 rgts.
51. Changed some SU-24 Rgt to Mig-27 and SU-17. The SU-24 is in the catagory with the F-111 and Tornado, would have most likely performed deep strike,interdiction or airfield strike.
52. All those company sized BMP units in Soviet Tank Rgt reinforcements have been upped to Bn size but morale dropped 1 level to a D. It added 9300+ men.
53. The 222nd and 223rd Panzergrenadier bns of the 22nd Panzergrenadier Brigade had 3 companies of Marder instead of 2 of Marder
and 1 of M113. Changed it
54. The 56th Heimatschutz Brigade was under the command of the 1st Gebirgs (Mountain) Division permamently, did it
55. Upped WP Interdiction level from a 4 to a 5. Nato is still a 7. Interdiction effect went from 15 to 25.
56. 66th and 67th Jager Bns of the 6 PzGren Div were under command of 17th PzGren and 18th Pz respectively, did it

NATO
LRRPs conduct passive, deep penetration (up to 150km) intelligence collection missions. Once inserted, the Patrols establish well-concealed observation posts placing enemy routes under surveillance and reporting their movements. Other LRRP missions include point, area, and route reconnaissance. It must be emphasised that LRRPs do not conduct direct action missions. yes u r correct in that there main mission was recon but they did have secondary missions that included direct action and the NATO LRRPs did not on everything i could find. The values are different between the 2 types with the range reduced to 1 which makes it alot less survivable in direct action missions and should help keep the player from using them for that purpose or risk losing them quickly.

Im in a hurry but your numbers dont match my numbers, u can go to 10 different websites and find different numbers on 6 of them, off the top of my head b/c i talked to Midge about it a couple weeks ago is the Vulcan had a 1500 eff range against air targets and something like 2500 against ground, 1 hex it is, to tell u the truth by 89 Vulcans were ineffective against air targets thats why they wanted a replacement, most of them were being used for infantry support by 89.

BRDM-AT and M901 were not amphib on 8 out of 10 websites.

Marder 1a3 and Leo1a5 did have thermal.

We talk about the tank launch ATGMs but tanks did not carry many of them and did not feel they deserved a range of 2.

I had the original OOB before Taz posted it and BRDM Was amphibious so this may be an oversight.

Not convinced M901 is amphibious in so much as it can just start "swimming" with little or no preperation !

The 2 hex range for the T-80 is due to the laser rangefinder fitted to it not the ATGM systems. The limit of the rangefinder on the T-72 was approx 2000m hence the 1 hex range.
