xThumbs_up  Player Profile #12 Belisarius
What is your name?
Christopher Nicholas Godellas

How did you decide upon your Blitz nickname?
I chose Belisarius the most successful Byzantine general, who I feel is one of the most under-rated military strategists in military history.

What ladders are you represented on?
HPS Ops, Civil War, Napoleonic and Ancient

What is your favourite PC War-game?
I really enjoy HPS’s Napoleon’s Russian Campaign

Who has been your hardest opponent?
Alex Krolikowski from the Civil War Ladder. His tactics and use of the terrain is nothing short of brilliant.

How long have you been a member of the Blitz?
Since March 2003.

What War interests you the most?
The Napoleonic Wars.

If you could choose to be present at one historical event what would it be?
It would be very hard for me not to say the Crucifixion & Resurrection of My Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.

What is your favourite War movie?
Hard to pick one. Master & Commander and Sink the Bismarck are right up there.

What do you snack on while gaming?
I’m a bit of a neat freak, so NO FOOD in the office where my computer is located.

What is your favourite and least favourite aspect of the Blitz website?
My favourite is that it’s very well organized and easy to navigate. The least favourite thing is that no one is ever on the Live Chat, might as well just get of that link.

Do you own any war memorabilia?
Unfortunately, no

What is the best military book you have read?
The Waterloo Companion by Mark Adkin. It’s a must if you wargame the battle.

What do you think was the single most important event of WWII?
I think Turkey and Spain’s decisions to remain neutral. If they went Axis it would have added years to the war.

What is the most interesting documentary you have ever watched?
By far, The World At War WWII series.

Which is your favourite HPS PzC title?
I like Tobruk 1941. The lack of much significant terrain really tests your tactical skills.

Are there any war games catching your eye at present?
I’m a little bit curious about Carriers At War

What piece of wisdom would you like to pass on to your fellow Blitz members?
Boy, I wish I was good at the dishing out wisdom game. To play it safe I best just say that “Silence is Golden”
