I am guessing a city target of the USAAF but beyond that you may need to give a clue?

Looks like a hillfort at the top of the pic.

Good eye on the hill, Darran, although not necessarily a hillfort as such. Also, not a USAAF target, this is the non-WW2 forum. But it was sometime in the age of flight, as this picture was taken around the time of a battle for this location.

Not Hanoi, it isn't a city at all, too small for that.

There is some script visible about an inch below the "North" symbol in the upper left that reads "BY 41" I think.

Somewhere in 1941?

Hmmmmmmm.......

Not 1941, or any other year of the primary part of WW2 - 1939 to 1945.

I need a clue....
