My 20GIG hard drive is nearly full and I need a new bigger one but I'm totally computer illiterate. Do I just open the case, unscrew and remove the old one, then screw the new one in its place?
Will the new one have to be formatted (if thats the word) and my Win XP Home installed on it? Is that easy to do?
And how do I transfer all my games and pics and stuff from the old one to the new one?
cheers

Find a computer savy personBow and buy them a six pack to do it for you.cheers Or if your PC is suitable except for the hard drive and it supports USB I (preferably II) add an external hard drive and have your computer savy personBow do it for you. cheers

Yuo could also call the Geek Squad or take it a place like COMP USA or such to have it done.

Thanks mate it's all sorted, I got a 120Mb external HD for £55, it just plugged into the back of my PC and its working fine, I'm amazed how small it is, only 5 inches by 3, and only half an inch thick, so size obviously doesn't matter..;)
PS- next I'm going to get a gigantic new processor and huge video card so's i can play top-end stuff like FlightSim X and LockOn etc

PS- Will I need a new motherboard to take them?
