Gentlemen

After a two week extension for late games we are now ready to begin round 2.

I apologize for the extra 2 weeks as I know some of your finished early and have had to cool your heels a bit, so much for war, brief periods of excitement and exertion followed by long periods of boredom, yes we are simulating the Russian front right down to the mental conditions, isnt that amazing!

Anyway I will be sending out a bulk mail to all of you with all the info you will need and need to send me for the coming round.

Please note the following.

Round 1 was toned down in the manner of random factors (weather, supply, support etc) and from now on the random factor will be allowed to run the full rein of the chart i created for it. Your random factor numbers will have effects (good or bad) on you and your opp depending on the circumstances, so expect a degree of variation even on some maps and definitely from sector to sector.
woo hoo!!!cheers

Hi Asidun - send turn 1 to you 3 days ago.
Have you got it?
With only May and June for the round we need a high rate of turns. And besides that, I am going on a two weeks holyday in Slovenia starting June 26. So please be quick as we have even shorter time to finish the round.
Regards
Stonefire

It is almost assured, чио with the beginning of working week Asidun will appear in the Internet.
I haven't even started yet, so you are ahead of me.
15 turns played, takes about 2-3 minutes to play a turn and it's all because my opponent is a wimp ... you know who you are, wimp. Come on and fight! Smile

It's a bit hard to get action when there is tons of mines and arty blocking movement.
If you hadn't created the bloody Hinenberg Line half way across the map...and if you were not hiding at the back of the map like a scared cat....I would be happily killing your armour and introducing your troop's blood to the Russian soil!

Wimp!
My arse!
Big Grin
Battle points, at least in my fight, are uneven. As I posted in my Russian commander forum, although the German player gets less battle points, his very expensive core forces (in my case 2 x panther coys at 2100 each) actually gives him more points on defence then I have on the attack.

Russian:

6K pts + core (2 x T34 coys at 750 each) = 7500 pts
10% to arty = 750 pts

German
4K pts + core (2 x panther coy at 2100 each) = 8200 pts
15% to arty = 1230 pts

and arty, wire, mines, and bunkers have done all the damage to me to this point.

So my attacking force actually doesn't even have a 1-1 ratio, but more
a .9 - 1 ratio.

Now that I think on it perhaps the levels of core for the Germans and Russians should have been different? For example, 2 coys of tanks for Russia as core vs 1 coy of tanks for German as core or something like that?
FYI

I have been thinking about things such as limiting the core forces but the problem is that its another rule to enforce and I get the feeling that players are having trouble with the rules we have.

How would players feel if I set cores at tanks only?
