Just curious about how you're scoring on your various tourneys.
It seems that the Thunder in the Desert tourney gives the final amount of points to the winner. All of the following assumes this to be the case. As will become clear, I sincerely hope that my understanding of your scoring system is mistaken.
If I'm getting this right, then this means that, while defenders who win may earn points, attackers who will will always earn more points. In fact, it actually punishes defenders who are too victorious, as they will consequently get fewer points. A truly astounding defense could even result in the loss of tourney points!
Thus, it is better to be an victorious attacker than to be a victorious defender, as the payoff is guaranteed to be greater in your tourney results.
This might be OK in a mirrored-game situation, but you're not doing that.
I haven't checked, but are all of the chosen scenarios within comparable point ranges? Is everyone going to have an equal number of attacking games?
So, please, please tell me that I have fundamentally misunderstood your scoring system.
