I sent you an email but it bounced.
Just to report the result of my game with Parta
Parta was playing the German side and I was the Russians.
It was a hard fought battle but the result was a major defeat for the Germans. Parta is a tough opponent and as always a gentleman.
Also I will be away for about a month from 26 March. I don't want to hold up the tournament so if this means I will have to drop out thats fine. Apologies for any inconvenience.
It has been very enjoyable. Thanks for organizing the tournament.

Dog Soldier and I are slugging it out on turn 14 of 25. Tough going for the Germans. The Russian hordes are deeply echeloned making breakthroughs tough.
Reporting final result of first round between Barbarrossa Axis and Liebiechen Allied.
Major axis victory 2533 points.
The Russians put up a stout fight but in the end the Germans smashed and maintained a narrow gap in the Russian Defences which enabled the Germans to exit a large number of their troops on the last turn which transformed the situation utterly in the Germans favour. If an exit could not have been achieved the Russians would have won, so it was a gamble and I was lucky.
Another Russian Minor victory.
Peter777 Russians held on for a minor victory (1133pts) vs Sgt Bakers Germans.
This is a game that comes down to the river crossing. If the germans get over the river early on the Russians are done for.
In our game Eirc did get over the river early in the game but the Russian Artillery destroyed the bridge and it took some time to rebuild.
All in all an interesting game.
