Well it is definitely a head scratcher that is for sure. Cleared out a nest of HG and thought I would start pouring inland but the darn Brits have different plans. Then when the new headache showed up (I don't want to state it so those who haven't started don't know) I went "crap!" and am now working around that.

I thought my FJ would have a better time of it, but now I see with the silly reloading of grenades first (dumb computer code) that I should have landed them all together. Oh well, that is what makes us all brilliant generals.

Still a fun scenario, damn hard too. I wonder if the Cdn 1st Div will come into play later on since it and the Anzac's were the only fully equipped Divs. at that time.

Tip of the hat to Dan!!
Yes, it is a very well thought out scenario---equally loathsome for both sides. Wink Well played, Dan.

This scenario would easily go through the testing at H2H but after the tourney round I don't think it's even necessary to go through that, this is a very good and balanced fight for PBEM. Good work. Or at least it looks that way on turn 13 Smile

By the way, is the penetration capabilities of those guns edited majorly? I somehow refuse to believe that 18pounder gun can hit trasport wessel making no damage.

If they do the same as mine - they are firing the HE and not the AP rounds against the barges.

Mine refused to fire AP rounds, and thus banged away to very little avail, as well. Actually, *nothing* has been very effective in sinking those barges. I'm thinking it might be a good investment to strap one each on top of the Ferdinands in a Kursk scenario, improve their survivability umpteen-fold.

On the bright side, should the Bismarck show up as a late-round reinforcement, we'll have plenty left to throw at her ...

LMAO Seabolt. I like your thinking. I could see my SS carrying barges on top of their heads for protecion. Big Grin

That would be little more than a return to the Great War-era helmet. ("Right side up, it's head protection. Turn it upside down, a portable bath! Ich bin ein Genius!")

Killed a barge today! Woo hoo! Who's your daddy? I wants me my 41 victory points! (It was empty, of course ...)

Vesku has taken to trolling them around in front of my worthless shore batteries, just to draw the opportunity fire. That'll show him! So far his mocking gesture has cost him, let's see, about 1 barge every 6 turns.

I'm going to need about 500 more turns to clear that bay ...

Ahh...the old empty jeep / recon by death / draw fire trick....but with barges.
Shameful.

Yep, that's me, shameless Smile
