FJs land armed with pistols and handgrenades, they get 20 pieces of ammo per turn per canister, rifles take 80, mgs 60 and god knows how many for the riflegrenade (or mines or what ever that fourth pieces was). It takes 8 turns to arm one FJ from one canister. That's how my paras are doing the thing, sounds like Chris has a different order which shouldn't be possible.

Yep, all of my units have loaded grenades first (like I said, about 40 per unit) then rifle and I still have yet to see them load the LMGs. I am now moving them into battle with around 20 rounds of rifle ammo, can't wait any longer.

TURN 5

My paras had a poor start as several squads landed on sea (I should've deployed them further from the edge of the mapSad) and many landed straight on top of a British arty-battery. A couple of trucks and one arty piece was destroyed but I lost tens of Germany's best during the first two turns against British home guard arty-men!

But not the first of the Germans are on the beach and I'm sure it'll be better from now onStir.

cheers,
Jukka

There's nothing wrong with British beer!

Well, I have tasted every beer that is available in our local alcohol shops. British beers are rather... weird! Their ciders are way better. Irish beer is nice but still they can´t beat czech, german, estonian and hungarian beers.

Last time when I had a chance to taste what the Great Britain has to offer for the rest of the europe, I had this peculiar piece of beverage, "Organic honey beer"... after torturing my tastebuds with it, my friend offered me one pint of Chocolate stout.

For me it´s like a hobby to have beer evenings and try new beers. Asian beer evening was nice, especially chinese stuff surprised me majorly.

Toast

Philestine!!! All those other beers just taste the same anyway. And I wouldn't call Honey beer or Chocolate stout British beers really. But I suppose bitter and stout are an aquired taste. Mind you I quite like chocolate stout, in small quantities.
As for cider, it takes me back to getting drunk in parks when I was 15, I can't stomach the stuff anymore. Scrumpy's alright though.

Talking of beer, it's the St Pat's parade in Montreal tomorrow. Don't expect to hear from me until the hangover goes away.

Yeah none of my LMGs are loaded either I think I'll give it one more turn.....finallly stating to push inland from the beach....Has anyone else had their HE 111's go MIA on them?

Well, one should not really argue about the matters of taste Smile I just thought that germans generally would not like british beer selection. I had a chance to live with germans, french, latvians and brits in my exhange student trip in hungary. We had wine, vodka, beer and cider fanatics which made our parties exciting. I´m personally a friend of good lager and dry cider. And I´m barbaric enough to drink my wine mixed with orange lemonade and vodka Stir

Enough babbling and back to topic. I´m trying my best to keep germans at shore, but first wave succeeded to break in city. No more easy targets for my artillery... and my coastal batteries have penetration power of an air-gun.

The horror.

After getting thoroughly waxed by Vesku yesterday, I drowned my sorrows at the Flying Saucer (http://www.beerknurd.com), which is the be-all and end-all of beer-snob taverns. Had a lovely Avery Maharaja, an IPA with a bouquet of grapefruit and a hammering 11% alcohol content.

That wasn't quite enough to make me forget the sufferings of my poor Home Guard boys, who aren't really equipped to do much but die as modest speed bumps against the---what, reinforced battalion?---storming their shores. Those barges do survive a ridiculous amount of gunfire ...

HE111s?? Didn't know the Germans had any.

Fj are starting to kick some butt and my Germans are pushing inland into the city. Flanking attacks are moving out to disperse those UK boys a bit more, I think he will begin to run around with his head cut off pretty shortly. Still about 3 platoons dieing on the beaches though....
