A new Nappy scenario "Four Days in June" was uploaded by Prinz von Egan!
Head over to the Nappy H2H page to check it out!
113 turns into von Ege and my playtest. Light rain time on the 17th. We are going all the way to the 18th.
cheers
So many great games so little time Cry
Can't seem to report it, though, as my bootcamp time expired before I "officially" played a game at Blitzkrieg. I'm making some minor tweaks as we go along.
Seems to be reported now. Looks like no major battle on the 17th, before rains come, which is good for me as Allies. Mother of all Waterloo Battles on the 18th, if von Ege as French dont turn tail and sauve qui peut. Stir
Stalled at nightfall, 17/18 June as von Ege's computer died. Dusting off Ekmuhl/Wagram research materials as I await restart.
As Allies I have the eqivalent of a Prussian Korps, featuring almost all of I and II Korps A rated troops anchoring the Duke's left flank at the Waterloo position. None of our Artie's crack Brit formations have yet to engage. IV Korps is marching onto the field unimpeded by Grouchy.
I feel cause for optimism, and think if the Allies can make a fight of it, its a good design.
Von Ege is proffering surrender, but I am trying to persuade him to get his sangfroid up.
I have accepted von Ege's surrender on the night of 17/18 June. Chalk one up for the Germano-Allied army. Gearing up a french attack now. I have tweaked the units file; the french artillery looks better, now.
Second playtest with me as french suspended midday 16 June with issue in doubt. It appears that if Germano Allied player has sufficient eis kaltes Blut to stand up to the first few days' pounding he should always be in a position to win it on the 18th. Difficult, also to sustain interest in a multiday monster, for me.
