I have rewritten the FOO rule, hopefully making it much more clear. I also just added a game example as some players asked for it.

It seems most people come up with the same questions, so I am doing up a FAQ for you to try and help:
1. My infantry company came with mortars, can my company CO call them in?
A. No. The reasoning for this is two fold: 1. to keep the rule as simple as possible and 2. to prevent players from using the FOO to call in the mortars but then saying they used the company commander.
2. I bought two FOOs, does this mean I can only buy two batteries?
A. No. The amount of arty you buy is independent from the number of FOOs you buy. You can buy as much arty as the game limits allow.
3. I bought 3 FOOs, does this mean that I get four shoots total? (3xFOO + A0)?
A. No. The A0 unit only counts as a FOO if you are playing a scenario or generated game and NO FOOs are provided.
4. All of my FOOs have been killed, does this mean I cannot call in anymore arty?
A. No. Your A0 now becomes your one and only FOO. If he is killed then you are reduced to zero shoots as all communications with the artillery have been broken.
