I downloaded the DG patch (DG1.02) and put it in the DG folder.
I located the zip patch for DG1.02 and "extracted from here", but when I go to the DG cd and check my version, I'm still using 1.01?
I can't play the game because it keeps freezing up.
My op system is ME.
Any help would be appreciated.

when you run the patch what do it say? unzipping a # of files and asking you to over write?
or is it unzipping a EXE file that you need to run ?
Where'd you get this file ? from here?
The patch comes from the Blitz site;

I put the patch in my DG folder. Highlighted it says:
Files/Folders in Zip file: 1 dgv102.exe
I tried to open it by "extracting to here", but still only have version 1.01 according to my games? Am I not executing this file properly?
I also have two compressed files that I can't open. One is: C:\Program Files\Talonsoft\Divided Ground\_sys1 cab and the other is _user1 cab.
The error message is:
Cannot open because it is not the standard Microsoft CAB format (as defined in mid-1998). The "signature bytes" required by Microsoft CAB specifications are missing.
I'm at a loss.

ok what you need to do is find that extracted file in your DG folder "dgv102.exe" double click on it and run it.
This should overwrite a few files in your folder then and promote you to the 1.02 version.

I was able to open and run the patch and I now have 1.02 and the game I'm playing stopped freezing up.
Hope you're around to help when I download the DGVN disk I have.
