Gentlemen,
Our first SFS Round 4 result is in.
In
Dash for St. Vith, Axis commander and
uber-tough Blitz
Shark Oberst blazes trail across the mire and muck to pull off a Draw.
That's
no easy feat in that scenario playing Axis -- especially against a capable and worthy foe like he faced in solid Blitz Vet
PvP.
And to
PvP's credit, stopping Herr
Oberst is never easy!
Well done gents.

I hope it was an enjoyable fight!
That result establishes our running total at:
Dash for St. Vith: 1 Draw
More as they come in.

St.Vith is American and never otherwise

Battle with Oberst was unique. 18 turns play hide-and-go-seek, last 3 turns
Oberst atack St. Vith, but medium agressive
Losses Axis vs. Allied : 128 - 195
2 more turns and St Vith would have been Axis. My worthy opponent used his armor and arty effectively blocking my inf and armor probes. This forced a very slow and methodical advance which consumed to much time. In addition the miserable ground conditions and LOS around St Vith precluded a quick build up and advance. All in all a very interesting game. If I should play this scenario again I have an idea that may result in different results.
Gil aka Oberst
We have completed our and Jason P. as the stellar German commander got aggessive in the final turns stormed the bridge heads and won the game. Meanwhile the valient but outgunned Majog, tried his best to hold off the Geman hords. It was not to be though and in a final move of desparation sent his heavy tanks out to the take the southern bridge to stave off a major loss. He captured the bridge heads but only to have them taken back by swarms of german infantry rushing out of the forest and shadows during the final turn. Congrats to JP, a game well played that kept us on the edge of our seats until the end.
Oberst has true. Maximum 2 or 3 turns and St. Vith was German. I think that this scenario is better for German even if results of this battle reported on Blitz are for American.
Another result just in:
"minnow"
Jason Petho has just completed a sweep of all four SFS Phase I matches with yet another Major Victory, becoming the first participant to win all four matches with Majors!
Outstanding -- and
awe inspiring.
This round,
Jason playing Axis in
Heavy Metal Thunder dispatched fellow tournament frontrunner
majog. From the AAR above, it sounds like it was a
pitched and close battle until the very end.
Wish we would have heard a few reports while still in progress.
Congrats to Jason, I think it is safe to say he is the first to secure a birth in the
"Sweet 16."
That brings the SFS R4 running total to:
Dash to St. Vith: 1 Draw
Heavy Metal Thunder: 1 Axis win
More as they come in.

And what a fight it was. It wasn't until turn 18 that things started to turn around. Excellent fight, majog!!
Take care and good luck

Three more SFS Round 4 results in:
In
Heavy Metal Thunder, Blitz vet
von Luck playing Allies won a Major Victory over Axis commander
glint.
A very good showing throughout this tournament for
von Luck indeed.
In the same scenario, Axis commander
Der Stuber, on the other hand, inflicted a Major Defeat on his Allied opponent
Tide1.
And we have our first result in from the hell that is known as Cross of Lorraine. Grizzled Axis commander
Rasputitsa, the warrior formerly known as Mitch Trent, defeated always tough Blitz Ace
Don Fox -- scoring an Axis Major Victory.
Those results bring the SFS Round 4 running total to:
Dash to St. Vith: 1 Draw
Heavy Metal Thunder: 2 Allied wins - 2 Axis wins
Cross of Lorraine: 1 Axis win
More as they come in.

Two more results in:
Big Dawg takes a big
bite out of
Nemisis in
Dash for St. Vith , scoring an Axis Major Victory.
Well done
Dawg.

That is a tough scenario for the Axis to win.
In
Heavy Metal Thunder, Axis commander
Gordons HQ scores a knockout blow on fellow minnow
hobie. Intel reports that it was simply one bridge too far for the Allies who beached themselves against the dug in Jerries before eventually surrendering.
That brings the SFS R4 running total to:
Dash to St. Vith: 1 Axis win - 1 Draw
Heavy Metal Thunder: 2 Allied wins - 3 Axis wins
Cross of Lorraine: 1 Axis win
More as they come in.
