Waterloo - River Crossing
I just started the massive 388 turn hypothetical Waterloo campaign as the French. This is the one with all the extra forces (e.g. Paget, Davout, etc).
I have noticed right away that it is going to be rough even getting across the river into Belgium. There appear to be Prussians at all the crossings in strength, and they have started to try and damage the bridges. Unless the French can get across somewhere, it will be a short campaign as their forces will be stuck on the wrong side of the river.
Anyone else played this scenario? Any ideas on how the French can win a bridgehead?

RE: Waterloo - River Crossing
The expansion package monster scenario has large numbers of French troops on the other side of the river (either starting there or coming on as reinforcements), so a crossing by the remainder is only a matter of time. While a delaying action is in order for the Allies they wouldn't be too wise to bet everything on it, as they will get caught in a trap...
